Delete Your Account

This page describes how to delete your ENDGAME: Only Kings Remain account (operated by Mythic Flux Foundry) and your associated data, both fully (closing your account) and partially (deleting specific categories of data without closing your account).
Delete your entire account
You can delete your ENDGAME account from inside the app. The same flow works on the web client and the Android app.
From the Android app
- Open the ENDGAME app and sign in if you aren't already.
- Tap the Menu tab in the bottom navigation bar (the rightmost icon).
- Scroll to the Account section and tap Manage account.
- On the Account screen, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm the deletion in the dialog. The action is final and cannot be undone.
From the web client (https://endgamekings.com)
- Open endgamekings.com and sign in.
- Tap or click the Profile icon in the bottom navigation bar.
- Switch to the Account tab at the top of the Profile screen.
- Scroll to the bottom of the Account section and click Delete account.
- Confirm the deletion in the dialog. The action is final and cannot be undone.
If you cannot access the in-app flow for any reason, email [email protected] from the email address associated with your account and we will delete it on your behalf within 30 days.
What is deleted when you close your account
Account deletion cascades across our database and removes the following immediately:
- Your user record (display name, username, profile photo, Glicko-2 rating, rating deviation, volatility, puzzle streak, and last-seen timestamp).
- Your authentication account (email, password, OAuth links) at our identity provider, Clerk.
- All push notification tokens registered against your account, plus your per-type notification preferences.
- Your puzzle attempts and solve history.
- Your seasonal leaderboard entries (current and historical).
- Your seasonal awards (top-3 finishes will be removed from your profile and the season history).
- Your friend list, all pending friend requests you have sent or received, and all block records.
- All inbox notifications addressed to you (including challenges, friend requests, and game results).
- All ephemeral challenge rooms you created or were invited to.
What is retained after account deletion (and why)
Two categories of data are retained for the integrity of the wider service:
- Match records. Online and ranked AI matches are recorded permanently with the move sequence, result, and per-match rating snapshots. Your account ID stays on those records, but because your user row is deleted, your username is rendered as
[deleted] on other players' match histories. We cannot delete the match itself without distorting your former opponent's rating history and match history. If you specifically need a match record anonymized further, contact [email protected] with the match details.
- Reports. Abuse reports filed by you or against you are retained for moderation review and historical reference. Reports do not include personal data beyond the report reason and an optional note.
How long deletion takes
The in-app deletion is processed in real time — your record is removed within seconds. Deletion at our identity provider (Clerk) propagates through their replicated systems and typically completes within a few minutes. Backups are retained for up to 30 days; data may persist in those backups during that window but is inaccessible to anyone outside our infrastructure operations and is overwritten as backups roll over.
Delete specific data without closing your account
If you only want to remove certain categories of data, you can do so without closing your account.
Things you can delete yourself, in-app
- Profile photo: Menu → Manage account → Photo → Remove. (Or upload a different photo to replace it.)
- Email address or username: Menu → Manage account. Change either field; the old value is overwritten and not retained.
- Friends and pending friend requests: World tab → Friends subtab. Tap a friend or pending request, then choose Remove or Decline. The friendship row is deleted server-side.
- Block records: World tab → Friends subtab. Tap a blocked user and choose Unblock to delete the block record.
- Individual inbox notifications: World tab → Inbox subtab. Expand a notification and tap Dismiss. The row is hidden and is purged from our database in due course.
- Push notification tokens (per device): Sign out of the app on the device. The token is removed from our server before sign-out completes. Reinstalling the app or signing back in registers a fresh token.
- Push notification preferences (per type): Menu → Settings → Notifications. Toggle off any notification type you do not want delivered. The toggle persists per account.
Things that require emailing support
The following categories cannot be self-served because of multi-party data integrity or because the relevant tooling is not yet exposed in the app. To request any of the below, email [email protected] from the email address associated with your account:
- Anonymization of specific match records. We will replace your account ID on the requested match with a placeholder so the record no longer references you, while preserving the move sequence and result for your former opponent's history.
- Removal of an IP address from a stored match record. We currently retain IP addresses on match records for anti-abuse review. We are implementing automatic anonymization (replacing the IP with a hash after 90 days) but until that ships you may request manual removal.
- Removal of a report you filed. If a report was filed in error, we can withdraw it.
- A copy of the personal data we hold on you (right of access). We will provide a structured export within 30 days.
